Thankfulness

for a God that forgives, but doesn't forget; who loves unconditionally even with all of my fallen, human faults; who puts obstacles in my way so that I can learn; who sometimes whispers into my ear and at other times shouts.

Thank you God for everything, it is all a blessing.

in Your hands i am resting.

God is a Promiser....

Pastor MacDonald finished his series entitled "Always True" today.

Here are the five promises that we studied:

1. I Will Not Fear....God is Always with Me - Deuteronomy 31:6;

2. I Will Not Doubt.....God is Always in Control - Proverbs 3:5-6;

3. I Will Not Despair.....God is Always Good - Romans 8:28;

4. I Will Not Falter....God is Always Watching - 1 Corinthians 10:13; and

5. I will Not Fail....God is Always Victorious - Isaiah 54:17.

One of the best lines from Pastor's serman this morning was:

"I have read the end of The Book....and guess what?

God Wins!"

In this world ruled by broken promises...sleep comfortably in the knowing that God promises and he NEVER goes back on his promises.

Never.

Ever.

His Treasure.

I'll help you carry on!!

Remember those verses?

I do.

He wrote them in His book.

He has always been my constant...

From church as a young girl, with all of its deep traditions, sanctity, comfort and consistency....

He is our King;
He is our Lord;
With Him and His love...there is nothing we can't afford!

He never forgets;
He guarantees;
Follow Him and He will answer our pleas.

Lay it all at His feet;
Shout it out - use His name...
He promises our lives will not be the same!

What if......

when you were little, you were able to take your God-given-born-with-creative-talents and run with them - just who you would be today?

If life’s fussiness didn’t get in your way?

You certainly have been asked “What do you want to be when you grow up?” What would your answer have been....that long, long time ago?

I know I always said wholeheartedly “A teacher!” If pushed I would say specifically that I wanted to teach elementary school kids – 3rd graders would have been my grade of choice.

I also loved to write – long, silly stories and poems. I have just this year (#49) re-discovered my desire to write – still silly at times - but always a nice outlet for the girl born with some level of creative talent – that sat silenced for years.

So I say to those inner little boys or girls and their creative talents – that were shushed over time – be still and listen - then write, sing, teach, paint, draw.....just create!

don’t wait

In My Weakness...He is Strong!

A reminder that in the toughest moments of my life....Jesus is there supporting me and those around me.

To my knees I fall when I awake each morning, a subtle reminder of the times that you fell, while carrying our burdens upon that wooden cross on your way to Calvary.

Because of You....I am me!

Thanks to thee!

Today while worshiping at Harvest - He moved me to write...

about how He is working in my life. So I came home and created this blog.

This morning I walked into worship with a heavy heart; feeling defeated as a mom raising two teenagers without an active, Christian father in their lives. Between today's culture and at times, my lack of prayerful discipline of them - I was brought to His door feeling beaten and near defeat.

Our current series here at Harvest is about healing the family and making us healthy.

Within minutes of entering my tears were flowing.

Tears of regret, pain and general sadness were streaming down my face.

But this is how He works - our Glorious God knows that I love raising His name in song - so as I sat at Harvest anticipating services and not wanting to participate - a leader called out for anyone to come to the stage and climb onto the choir risers to lift their voices in song - a chance for the first time to see the service from a different viewpoint.

I was one of the first to hit the stage.....

He is always engaged.
